TJAA OFFICER AND DIRECTOR APPLICATION

The officers of this Association shall be elected by ballot or show of hands at the meeting of the Texas Junior Angus Association held at the annual meeting at the state show in Belton. The candidate must fill out an application posted on the Texas Junior Angus Association website. The application must be postmarked or emailed by May 15. Officers shall be elected for a term of one (1) year, or until their successors are elected and qualified and assume the duties of their office at the closing of our state show. To be an officer you must have served as a director for one (1) year and be at least in the 8th grade. Officer positions of President, 1st Vice President, and 2nd Vice President candidates should have received their National Jr. Angus Association Bronze & Silver Awards prior to elections.

TJAA ADVISOR APPLICATION

The advisors will be elected for a term of three (3) years. The advisors shall agree among themselves who will serve as lead advisors. Those interested in running for advisor must fill out an application posted on the Texas Junior Angus Association website. The application must be postmarked or emailed by January 2nd to designated advisor. Nominees will be voted on by the junior members at the same meeting where the officers and directors are elected.

2022-2023 Miss Texas Angus: Taylor Martin Miss Texas Angus Princess: Harlow Gorman

Do you dream of being queen? Here’s your chance. If you are an unmarried young lady between the ages of 16-19 and are an active member of the Texas Junior Angus Association, Texas Angus Association and your mother belongs to the Texas Angus Auxiliary, then you have the initial qualifications. A new Miss Texas Angus will be crowned during the Fort Worth Stock Show in January; however, applications are due to Megan Ahearn, on or before April 1, 2023. No exceptions!

Since the same application is used for this contest as is used by the Angus auxiliary for scholarships, we encourage interested young ladies to start early on this very lengthy application.

Qualifications

If you are an unmarried young lady between the ages of 16-19 and are an active member of the Texas Junior Angus Association, Texas Angus Association and your mother belongs to the Texas Angus Auxiliary, then you have the initial qualifications.


See the Texas Angus Princess Guidelines for rules and instructions. Applicants must be between 12 (or in the 7th Grade) and 15 years old.

Use Times New Roman Font no smaller than 10 pt. Application must not exceed 8 pages.


Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
